(The Noble Pirate Woman)
In a land far to the east (of Phoenix Arizona), there is a magical place with high rock walls that cascade with flowing waterfalls and curtains of greenery and carpeted in wild flowers. It was in a small town, in a small cafe that a young writer experienced the art of belly dance for the first time. The pop of coin daubed hip, the slither of snake-like arm, the grace in step. The writer had entered the cafe to hear another woman’s poetic words, but left with the poetry of movement in her dreams. For years, the writer dreamed of the dance, it was not until she was call far to the western desert city of Phoenix that she found Hazine, Diosa, Badrea Talua, Kaleah and other beautiful belly dancers that she was able to fulfill her dream.
Badrea Talua took the wandering writer into her Dancers of DeNile and gave her the noble name, AdeebA. Since the turn of the millennium AdeebA has enjoyed the discovery of the many styles of belly dance including; traditional Egyptian, Turkish, Folkliric, Tribal Fusion, and Hindi/ Bollywood. With this fusion of styles and AdeebA’s ever wandering desire to adventure further into the worlds of bellydance, she added Korsana to her name. AdeebA Korsana instructs beginning belly dancers across the valley. Showing them that dance comes from so many places, it is a fool who stays to familiar waters.
